What is GTA 6 Release Date?
The GTA 6 release date is not final yet, and there is no confirmed news from the official sources. However, the game is not yet released next year. Initially, the GTA 6 will release for Microsoft’s new adventure “Project Scarlett” and next-Gen consoles, including Sony PlayStation 5.
The developers will release a version for Google Stadia and Windows PC with a solid chance for future upgrades. There is a slight disappointment for the people who don’t have next-gen consoles as it is anticipated to not work on older consoles.
Unfortunately, you won’t experience the gameplay for Xbox One and PS4. According to the latest revelations by the Rockstar Games, the game will release in 2023, precisely in October.
Is GTA 6 PC Available?
Rockstar has a thing for its place in PC gaming. The company’s history might not always reflect that. Still, the massive popularity of both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC are great examples of why I think they’ll continue to give PC gamers a pretty solid experience with whatever they release next time. And given my thoughts on Rockstar Games Launcher on PC in 2019, it appears that they agree.
It is unlikely that the developer team will release a launch for PC only for one game. They certainly have a game hosting plan for future games, including Grand Theft Auto 6. However, we assume that the release for the PC will happen late from the initial release, as we have seen in GTA 5 case. There was a gap of almost 1.5 years during one year gap between the Red Dead Redemption 2 release and the PC version.
GTA 6 Locations and Map
Its been eight years since the release of Grand Theft Auto V. The game has been released twice since its release for PC and eight-generation consoles. An enhanced version for the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 was also released. The immersive gameplay with strong story adrenaline forced the fans to go restless for the release of the next adventure by Rockstar Games.
Since the next upgrade of a franchise for GTA is in the development phase, all the rumors and leaks are knocking on the doors of diehard fans. Rockstar has not confirmed any rumor and has remained silent in this aspect. A few weeks back, several GTA 6 locations & map leaks surfaced online. Fans have got a chance to see the game’s alleged location, settings, and plot details due to these leaks.
The leak suggests that the gameplay happens in the modern-day Vice City with some location-based on Puerto Rico. Two playable characters carry the story, among which one is a female character. If you opt for these characters, there is a separate range of missions that you can do. Each mission takes the story to the new course and influences the in-game progress by evolving the gameplay and changing the overall course.
One relatively new thing about the game is the inclusion of cryptocurrency as a mode of purchase besides the normal cash reward. The authenticity of the leaks is not verified as the game is in the development stage. We have seen tweets from Jason Schrier and Tom Henderson as they verified the leaks and gave remarks that the game is not ready for the final release as it is in a developmental stage.
The map leaked online for the GTA 6 also suggests that the whole gameplay will happen in Florida or Vice City. We have seen some amazing comparisons of the GTA 5 and GTA 6 maps showing the true size of the new maps. It shows that the game has a theme park, forests, swampy regions, and several small towns.
Since Rockstar is silent in whole leaks matter and they have not spoken anything about it, we can assume that these are just glimpses of something big. These leaks are not new, as we have seen some before the Red Dead Redemption 2. The maps will provide more fun than GTA V; however, it’s the time that will decide the fate of the next title by Rockstar Games.
GTA 6 PC Requirements To Run
We have compiled both the minimum and recommended specifications of the GTA 6 here. You can check out the GTA 6 PC requirements and compare them with your hardware to know whether you are ready for the next adventure or need an upgrade.
We have listed the CPU, RAM, storage, OS, and graphics card requirements. If you are curious about “what will be GTA 6 system requirements,” check out GTA 6 system requirement below.
GTA 6 Minimum System Requirements for PC
Specifications | Requirements |
---|---|
Processor | Intel Core i5 4460 or AMD equivalent (AMD FX-8350) |
Graphics Card | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD equivalent (AMD Radeon R9) |
RAM | 8 GB |
VRAM | 4 GB |
Storage | 150 GB |
Operating System | Windows 10 64-bit |
Direct X | DirectX 12 |
GTA 6 is anticipated to have graphics that can blow the fans as we have already seen what Rockstar games are capable of. GTA minimum specs for this adventure are not demanding as any four- to a five-year-old machine can run it easily. It requires a Core i5 4th generation processor or AMD FX 8350 for running without any performance issues.
The graphics requirements are pretty much clear as the GTA 6 system requirements minimum needs Nividia GeForce GTX 970 to handle the graphics. It’s a 4 GB graphics card that provides a performance to run the game at 720p with stable 30 FPS.
You may want to lower the graphics settings for further tweaking and get slightly higher FPS and stable gameplay. Besides the GTA6 graphics, it requires 8GB RAM for running smoothly. You will preferably require a high-speed SSD with 150 GB of space for accommodating and running the game files. DirectX 12 and Windows 10 64-bit are standard for both minimum and recommended specifications.
GTA 6 Recommended System Requirements for PC
GTA 6 Specs | Requirements |
---|---|
Processor | Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD equivalent (AMD Ryzen R7 1700X) |
Graphics Card | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or AMD equivalent (AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid) |
RAM | 16 GB |
VRAM | 8 GB |
Storage | 150 GB |
Operating System | Windows 10 64-bit |
Direct X | DirectX 12 |
The only changes for recommended GTA 6 system requirements and minimum requirements are CPU and GPU. In contrast to the Core i5 recommendation for minimum specifications, GTA 6 needs a Core i7 8700K or equivalent processor for handling the threads and performance bar.
It takes a noticeably higher graphics processing unit like NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or AMD to get better graphics. With the recommended CPU and GPU, you can get stable 60 FPS at 1080p resolution. The RAM requirement increases to double while VRAM needed also doubles on these settings.
If you want to play the game in an Ultra setting or for higher FPS, you will have to opt for better hardware. Rockstar Games has not released any recommendation for the Ultra settings, so keep your guesses coming as you probably have to overkill. Ray tracing and Ultra settings will probably set the standard to at least RTX enabled 3080 or higher graphics card.
GTA 6 Requirements for Laptop
Compared to the minimum and recommended GTA 6 system requirements for PC, the laptop requirements remain the same. Nothing gets changed until the operating system changes to the Mac OS. However, you need to keep in mind that you cannot upgrade certain laptop models; therefore, keep the hardware requirements fulfilled in case you want to get a taste of GTA 6 gameplay on your machine.
GTA 6 will release in a year or two, but the system requirements are already out. The official requirements suggest that the game requires 150 Gb of storage space for installation and file storage. The final recommendation can change on game release so keep yourself updated with the latest news about the game.
The Grand theft Auto 6 is still in the development phase. We cannot exactly estimate the pricing for the PC or other platforms. However, from the GTA V released pattern and initial and final price, we can conclude the price of GTA 6 to fall anywhere near $60 to $80. The final price is unknown as there is no official saying from the Rockstar Games.
GTA 6 is in the development phase, and it is taking longer than expected due to a couple of reasons. The previous episode of the game remained top seller, and it had few late editions that kept the developers busy. The expectation of the fans from the franchise is sky-high. As a result, the developers take extra time to develop a masterpiece to match the fan’s desires.
Playing GTA 6 on a laptop is not challenging as long you meet the minimum or recommended system requirements. Any laptop fulfilling the system requirements can play the game and give you the same experience you will get from a decent gaming PC.
